Overview
The official Mystery-class guide places the Armorwing among the metal hoards of Iron Isle. Its magnetism draws new scraps toward the body; a narrow, intense flame then joins them into armour. The dragon also uses a whip-like tail to keep enemies away during the process. The shell's formidable appearance hides a more vulnerable creature underneath, and the account portrays its preferred life as isolation beside discarded treasures. Armour therefore is an assembled layer rather than proof that the animal's bare skin is naturally made of solid metal.
Battle for the Edge makes that distinction the subject of Stuck on You. An Armor Wing loses plating and attempts to replace it with silver, which fails to adhere in the game's magnetism lesson. The player must find a suitable replacement. Another quest, In Search of True North, uses the animal's surrounding magnetic field to draw a compass away from north. These examples explain both a weakness in armour maintenance and an interference effect on navigation. The game's two-word spelling does not designate a separate species, and its reused Boneknapper animation set is a production relationship rather than evidence of shared biological parentage.
First appearances & development
The selected licensed-game implementation appears in the 2015 Battle for the Edge expansion, following Race to the Edge's animated creature. The public official species guide is undated. Armorwing and the game's Armor Wing spelling are covered together, while different collected scraps do not create distinct dragon variants.
Canon & continuity
Complete official prose and actual indexed game quest/release bodies were read. Stuck on You supplies a specific failed repair, not a universal real-world claim about every silver alloy. Bare-skin vulnerability and assembled armour remain separate, and no fresh full episode or game-manual reading is claimed.
