Eunectes deschauenseei, commonly known as the dark-spotted anaconda or De Schauensee's anaconda, is a species of snake in the subfamily Boinae of the family Boidae. The species is native to northeastern South America. Like all boas, it kills its prey by constriction (Eunectes deschauenseei mainly eats fish, birds and occasionally mammals). No subspecies are currently recognized.
