Max Tibby, the original photographer, is said to be a "PhD candidate in the Reptile Ecology and Environmental Disturbance Lab at the University of New England".
The photo is said to be "Research Grade", community consensus is that this is a Dark-spined Blind Snake by the original photographer, as well as Asimakis Patitsas (a "Horticulturalist")

Anilios bicolor, also known as the dark-spined blind snake, is a species of blind snake that is endemic to southern Australia. The specific epithet bicolor (“two-coloured”) refers to the snake's appearance.
