Source-backed taxonomic record

Accepted species in Catalogue of Life’s 11 September 2026 base release. This preserves the source classification and available supporting data; it is not a completed species monograph.

Sailifn Blenny gets its name from the dorsal fin that flashed as it jumps in an out of its protective hole. One can find the blenny flaring it fin in the distance to mark its territory. When close together, the fish often fight and flash their fins for dominance.
