Imagined woman looking into distance
AI interpretation; appearance and landscape imagined.
Overview
Nicholson describes Zarqa as the blue-eyed woman of Yamama, Ribah’s sister married into Jadis. Her sight detects an army thirty miles away. Hasan therefore orders horsemen to carry leafy branches before themselves.
Near evening she warns her people that trees are advancing, but they disbelieve her. Hasan’s attack follows next morning. This selected telling concerns a legendary warning and its failure; the reported sight and campaign are not independently verified history.
