Hair-covered Wildmannli feed hay to cattle.
AI interpretation: cattle helpers; bodies, barn and feeding arrangement imagined.
Overview
A Liechtenstein-Institut report quotes Seger’s 1966 account: Wildmannli inhabit caves near Alpe Seris, entering Malbun and Steg to tend cattle. Their bodies bear hair like bears, without clothes. During föhn weather they stay home. Farmers, occupied digging potatoes, discover hungry cattle after assuming the helpers would come.
Later, a mountain cry announces Bitzi and Batzi’s deaths. The beings disappear; a cave retains the name Wildmannskirchle.
