Weequay

Overview

Lucasfilm describes Weequays with coarse, deeply wrinkled skin, commonly brown, and hair gathered into a topknot. The inspected portrait shows a heavy folded forehead and cheeks, small eyes and a compact blunt nose. This is an anatomical and visual identity, rather than a reason to assign a hostile personality to every individual.

The species account names Hondo Ohnaka as the leader of a band of Weequay pirates during the Clone Wars. Piracy is a documented activity of that group. It does not establish that all Weequays belong to Hondo's organization, live on the same world or pursue the same occupation.

The Databank lists Return of the Jedi, The Clone Wars and The Book of Boba Fett. A linked official short video is identified as further publisher coverage, but its unseen contents are not claimed. No external influence is established by the inspected text. The illustration depicts an unnamed traveler in imagined clothing and surroundings.

First appearances & development

Selected Lucasfilm Databank material records the species and a named pirate group. The packet does not reconstruct all Weequay societies, and an inaccessible longer article is retained as an unused access hold.

Canon & continuity

Lucasfilm Databank text read directly; rendered official subject portrait inspected separately for morphology. Named individuals are examples, not universal species occupations or ethics.
