Overview

The Acolyte’s Bazil is a Tynnan allied with the Jedi Order, using an exceptionally sensitive nose to detect his quarry at a distance. His persistence makes tracking a skilled task rather than a decorative role beside the Jedi. The Databank gives him a height of 1.17 metres; that measurement belongs to Bazil, not every member of the species. The reference likewise does not make all Tynnans Jedi allies or professional trackers.

The official production account describes beaver and otter features, with a pronounced snout and equipment that helps Bazil focus his senses. These are choices for a particular 2024 character. Its link to the older Tynnan name does not establish that the book and series share one continuous history.

First appearances & development

The official article identifies Daley’s 1979 novel as an early witness. Bazil belongs to the 2024 screen portrayal. Those are distinct continuity contexts, with the older novel’s complete account not newly read.

02

Canon & continuity

Bazil’s complete Databank body and the official creature-shop article were inspected. They supply his role, individual measurement, design and bibliography. No complete novel read or footage viewing is claimed; the named tracker is not a full survey of Tynnan physiology.

Marty Feldman's Igor in Young Frankenstein

Creature supervisor Neal Scanlan names Igor as an inspiration for Bazil's commanding presence despite his small stature. This testimony concerns the 2024 character's presentation, not Tynnan biological ancestry or the species' original invention.
