Overview
Thaug emerges from Salome's temple when invoked, announced by croaking and broken fixtures. Its fangs and eyes stand out against a poorly defined bulk. It pursues Valerius as he carries the rescued Taramis.
Conan's riders fire volleys that penetrate the creature and kill it on the steps. The encounter therefore supplies material vulnerability. Its voice alone does not establish an ordinary giant-toad species, and no breeding ecology is given.
