Overview

A Terrorgheist is a huge undead batlike predator raised through necromancy. Its ragged wings, exposed remains and immense jaws present an animal body driven beyond its natural death. Its shriek is a supernatural attack, giving it a threat beyond clawing and biting. Mortal Realms accounts associate the beasts with the Flesh-eater Courts and Soulblight forces, while earlier fantasy appearances place them among the Vampire Counts' monsters.

The checked Warcry creature passage also describes bats bursting from the destroyed remains, extending the danger beyond a successful attack on the monster itself. Secondary Age of Sigmar documentation supplies the more particular account of ancient giant bat ancestors and their hunger; that setting's history is not silently projected onto every older-world incarnation. The licensed Total War roster provides a separate representation in a fantasy strategy game. One profile retains the common monster concept, but rules, magical explanations and faction placement remain tied to their specific works rather than forced into a single uninterrupted biography.

First appearances & development

Terrorgheists have fantasy and Mortal Realms representations, including the 2016 licensed Total War game and Warcry's monster account. The entry keeps setting-specific origin lore attributed and does not assign an unverified first appearance. Its common undead bat-beast identity supports one profile rather than separate records for rider choices and tabletop editions.

Canon & continuity

The publisher-indexed Warcry creature excerpt supplies shriek and bat-release claims; the full PDF failed in the reader and was not inspected completely. The licensed game's official roster independently confirms its fantasy representation. Secondary Mortal Realms documentation supplies attributed regional origins, keeping those claims separate from both the older world and supernatural combat rules.
