Overview
Tentomon is an insectoid Digimon with a rounded shell, prominent limbs and an electrical attack in its recognizable reference design. Izzy's partner in Digimon Adventure adds curiosity and conversation to a body that could otherwise be treated as a simple giant bug. That relationship makes knowledge and companionship as important as visible combat features.
The reference profile and the anime character remain different kinds of evidence: one identifies a general form, while the other develops an individual within a plot. Kabuterimon is a familiar later body in the television storyline, not proof that every game must use identical evolution conditions. Other versions can rearrange routes while preserving the creature's name and design.

Family, evolution & connections
Beetles
Tentomon’s official reference describes an insectoid body with a hard carapace and multiple specialized legs. These features invite comparison with beetles, but the profile does not name a beetle species as the designer’s source. Its dexterous limbs, nature-loving temperament and electrical move belong to the digital character rather than to a real insect diagnosis.
