Puntan and Fu’una’s creation

Overview

In Hattori’s account, siblings Puntan and Fu’una plan creation. His eyes become sun and moon, eyebrows become rainbows, and back becomes earth. Fu’una animates these parts, making the sun shine and earth blossom.

She then transforms her own body into Fouha Rock, from which people emerge. The essay locates it near Humåtak Bay and explicitly acknowledges narrative variation. This selected account does not establish a uniform version or permission to reconstruct ritual.
