Orray

Overview

Orrays are quadrupeds native to Geonosis. The official arena portrait shows a low, sturdy body, thick legs and broad feet under a wrinkled leathery hide, with an elongated heavy snout. This combination anchors the illustration rather than substituting a conventional horse or upright dinosaur. The Databank gives selected dimensions of two metres in height and three metres in length.

Geonosians use them in several roles. In the execution arena, they carry picadors and pull carts transporting condemned prisoners. Lucasfilm specifically states that the arena animals have had their tails removed and the stumps covered by metal caps. That condition describes the handled arena specimens, not an assertion that the species is naturally tailless.

Attack of the Clones supplies the selected screen context. The illustration depicts the documented arena condition in an imagined empty holding pen, with four feet separated and visible. It does not recreate an execution or make claims about wild behaviour, diet or reproduction that the chosen primary reference does not establish.

First appearances & development

Lucasfilm's selected Attack of the Clones reference establishes the animal and its Geonosian use. External production influence remains unverified.
