Overview
Nana Chediya is a distinct member of the three female tree spirits listed by Tremearne. He translates her name as Lady Ficus but specifies that this is another species from Nana Durimi’s tree. He does not supply a botanical identification that would allow the two names to be turned into modern species records. The notice therefore retains the distinction between the two spirits without assigning either one a guessed scientific tree name.
Her particular attributed effect is that eyelashes turn inward into the eyes and have to be pulled out. This is a historical explanation assigned to the spirit, not an established medical cause. In other respects the collector says she resembles Nana Durimi; he supplies no separate song or expanded movement sequence. The source supports a named second tree spirit with a specific attributed effect, while leaving an independent origin narrative unrecorded.
