Murtlap (Harry Potter)

Overview

Murtlaps are magical animals whose tentacles enter wizarding food and remedy traditions. Official discussion describes pickled tentacles as improving resistance to jinxes and curses, with excessive consumption producing an absurd side effect involving purple ear hair. The animal consequently belongs to the setting's ingredient economy as well as its creature catalogue.
