Overview
Chulalongkorn University’s Moklen archive collects language and cultural knowledge, including community oral history, everyday life and research. The site situates Moklen life along the Andaman coast and presents relationships with land and water. Its collections provide an institutional window onto community knowledge, not a single timeless portrait of all Moklen households.
Piyapath T Spencer’s LangDoc paper uses a Moklen documentation project as its case study. The system supports collecting, recording, reviewing and managing wordlist data, with online and offline operation suited to fieldwork. This is a specific documentation workflow; its abstract does not prove universal adoption, a completed language archive or the success of later proposed tools.
