Lasat

Overview

Lucasfilm describes Lasat as humanoids of considerable height, strength and agility. The inspected Zeb portrait adds a lavender and dark-banded appearance, pointed ears and broad grasping feet. These visible features guide the illustration; the particular uniform and facial tuft are not treated as a compulsory costume or a complete account of variation.

The Empire devastated Lasan with T-7 ion disruptors and nearly destroyed its people. Zeb Orrelios survived, having served in the Honor Guard of Lasan, whose members were trained, intelligent warriors using bo-rifles. His military experience is an individual and institutional context, rather than evidence that all Lasat share one occupation.

A Lucasfilm feature explicitly traces Zeb's look to unused Ralph McQuarrie concepts for Chewbacca. This is a documented production influence on the selected representative; it does not make Lasat a Wookiee alias. The unofficial unnamed traveler preserves the broad morphology while inventing its clothes, settlement and pose.

First appearances & development

The selected Star Wars Rebels identity is documented by Lucasfilm's species reference. The 2017 official concept-art feature establishes the reuse of earlier McQuarrie Chewbacca concepts for Zeb, not the complete development history of every Lasat.
