Overview
The DOBES project account describes Kwaza speakers in several family settings in southeastern Rondônia. Its historical project snapshot distinguishes households where transmission differed and identifies Kwaza as a language isolate. These observations should remain tied to that documentation context, rather than becoming a current census or a claim that all families share one language trajectory.
Brazil’s language-inventory portal describes a Kwaza Swadesh list produced by Mário Aikanã and Hein van der Voort in March 2018. The resource combines phonetic transcription of basic vocabulary with associated audio. It records a particular collaborative documentation product; the entry does not establish language-inventory recognition or represent every aspect of Kwaza community life.
