Imagined teaching model of seasonal pasture connections.
Setting, tools and layout imagined; not ethnographic evidence.
Overview
The Khinalig reserve reports manuscript cataloguing during restoration and a 2023 publication translating three Azerbaijani tales into Khinalug. These selected conservation and language activities complement the landscape account without defining a homogeneous population.
UNESCO describes Khinalig’s cultural landscape through its mountain settlement and movement between summer and winter pastures. Shared access to pasture and water connects these places; the account concerns a particular living landscape, not every resident’s occupation.
