Gorg

Overview

The selected Lucasfilm account describes the gorgs native to Castilon as tiny creatures with conspicuous eyes and small sharp teeth. Its official Resistance portrait shows a squat frog-like body with a pale belly, gray-purple upper surface and oversized turquoise eyes. The little crest and short limbs belong to that inspected depiction; they guide an interpretation without supplying a complete anatomical survey.

Gorgs are considered a delicacy on many worlds. Lucasfilm compares the Castilon form to a maritime equivalent of womp rats, which conveys its role in the setting rather than establishing a biological relationship to those animals. The comparison is therefore reported as a descriptive nickname, not used to infer shared ancestry, reproduction or mammalian physiology.

This profile is deliberately limited to the Castilon form shown by the primary reference. It does not combine every animal called a gorg across the franchise or invent a universal habitat. The unofficial original depicts a small individual on an imagined tidepool rock, retaining the visible eyes, belly and compact body; the exact shore and shell are scene invention.
