Overview

Fukuro-mujina is represented by a large round decorated bag behind a long-haired human-like figure. Its tied mouth rises above the head, while small hairy limbs extend from the bag’s sides. The foreground figure wears floral clothing and raises an arm, with an open vessel, ropes and loose round objects near its feet. Candles and damaged wall panels define the room.

The title 袋絡 supplies the named witness; the adjacent reading identifies the bag-related apparition. This intricate composition combines clothing, containers and animal-like parts rather than prescribing a simple beast’s anatomy. The directly inspected image supports the animated bag and associated figure. It does not prove a former owner, a routine attack or an independently recorded regional legend, and those possible interpretations remain separate from the visual description.
