Overview
The Tishtar Yasht names Duzyairya as a Pairika whose hostility Tishtrya restrains. The hymn says that certain hostile speakers call her Huyairya, preserving the contested naming within its own religious argument.
Without that restraint, she would fight the material world day and night and seek to extinguish its life. Tishtrya holds her in twofold and threefold bonds extending over her body; their strength is compared with a thousand powerful people holding one captive.
