Crolute

Overview

Unkar Plutt's Databank record identifies him as Crolute. The inspected portrait shows a broad fleshy humanoid with a rounded head, small eyes, a heavy flattened nose and layered facial folds. This provides a secure visible representative without establishing the dimensions, diet or habitat of every Crolute. Unkar's listed height is 1.8 metres, an individual measurement.

On Jakku, Unkar exchanges survival rations for material scavenged from the Graveyard of Ships. He uses hired muscle to control unauthorized trading and aggressive bargaining. Scavengers disparagingly call him the Blobfish. The nickname and coercive business practices belong to Unkar's local reputation; they do not prove aquatic anatomy or define the species' ethics.

In an official publisher interview, Jason Fry explains that his proposed Crolute material was cut because Landry Walker had already developed the subject elsewhere. This is a useful production boundary, not permission to restore discarded lore. The unofficial image extrapolates an unnamed upright civilian from the inspected body and face, using original clothes and an imagined store courtyard.

First appearances & development

The selected Lucasfilm biography establishes Unkar Plutt as Crolute. A Jason Fry interview records that his proposed Crolute treatment was discarded; no cut material is included here.
