Cosmo Lavish

Overview

L-Space's Making Money account presents Cosmo Lavish as a banker whose family's wealth feeds political ambition. He imitates Vetinari's dress and manner, practicing an eyebrow gesture that becomes a tic. His servant Heretofore supplies supposedly authentic possessions of the Patrician, while Cosmo treats the servant as though he were Vetinari's secretary Drumknott.

The imitation becomes destructive when Cosmo insists on wearing a signet ring too small for his finger. He refuses to remove it as the injury worsens and eventually enters the hospital's Vetinari ward. Surrounded by patients with the same delusion, he believes that nobody will recognize him as the real Patrician. This is the specialist's book account, rather than an independently read novel.
