Aqualish

Overview

Ponda Baba's official record explicitly identifies him as Aqualish. The inspected portrait shows a burly humanoid with a dark wrinkled head, two large glossy eyes and distinctive paired fleshy mouth lobes below the muzzle. This packet uses that visible form; it does not claim that all Aqualish possess an identical eye count, hand shape or facial anatomy.

The character's biography describes smuggling spice for Jabba the Hutt with Cornelius Evazan, whom Ponda had rescued from a bounty hunter. In the Mos Eisley cantina he started a fight with Luke Skywalker, and Obi-Wan Kenobi's intervention cost him an arm. These events establish a named individual's criminal career and injury, rather than a species-wide occupation or moral nature.

The selected appearances are A New Hope and Rogue One. The unavailable general species URL remains recorded as an access hold, and no unverified cultural reconstruction is added to fill it. The illustration shows an unnamed intact individual with the two-eyed facial form in invented work clothes, retaining soft mouth lobes instead of substituting walrus tusks.
