Anzellan

Overview

Lucasfilm's production feature identifies Babu Frik as an Anzellan and connects him with later droidsmith groups. His inspected portrait shows a tiny humanoid with a broad wrinkled face, large eyes, a compact muzzle and sparse wispy facial hair. Those features guide an unnamed interpretation without claiming a fixed adult height, lifespan or social hierarchy absent from the selected evidence.

Babu works among the Spice Runners of Kijimi. His Databank record describes an exceptional ability to reprogram or alter droids despite their protective systems. That expertise is a character accomplishment, not proof that every Anzellan is a mechanic or automatically capable of bypassing any machine's security. The later named groups establish additional examples, rather than a universal caste.

The selected production account traces Babu to The Rise of Skywalker and records Shirley Henderson's voice work for the character and subsequent groups. It establishes a performance lineage, not an external anatomical inspiration. The original illustration depicts a newly imagined worker beside oversized tools to communicate relative smallness, with invented clothes, posture and workbench.

First appearances & development

Lucasfilm's selected production feature identifies Babu Frik's Anzellan identity and the performance lineage through Shirley Henderson; anatomical design influence remains unverified.
