AI imagined Al Fisaikra feeding Hamda by the shore.
Person, fish appearance and setting imagined; selected non-graphic narrative moment.
Overview
In Umm Khalaf’s story, Hamda cleans fish at the shore. Al Fisaikra escapes her hands, then feeds her when her stepmother leaves only bones. The helper frees her from an oven, prepares her for a gathering and gives a bracelet. A rooster later reveals her hiding place; the bracelet identifies her. Al Fisaikra appears as a woman and is revealed as a djinni. Hamda’s suffering becomes pearls and corals; her stepsister’s imitation ends disastrously.
The collection presents hazawi as family-transmitted Qatari stories whose details vary with tellers. This entry follows Kholoud Saleh’s published translation, not a universal Gulf version. Clothing, human faces and fine fish anatomy in a proposed image would be imagined; the scene selects the earlier feeding encounter and omits the violent ending.
